New Year’s anticipation calendar. Countdown: 6 days before the magic day

The Advent calendar is an amazing calendar that will delight children and bring positive emotions to adults. Europeans date it from 1 to 25 December, that is, they are waiting for a Catholic Christmas with him. But in fact, the dates and periods can be extended to the New Year and the Orthodox Christmas. There are no strict rules. The main thing is a creative mood and an entertaining idea.

The Advent calendar can be created in the most unimaginable way. But it should perform the main function - every day should be a pleasant reminder to the child and adult that Christmas or New Year is coming soon, to create a special festive mood.

December 25. 6 days before the New Year.

It’s time to pack presents! It is best to carve out time and make a beautiful package yourself.

You will need paper, paper stencils and felt-tip pens or paints.

You need to cut four squares with figures along the red dotted lines. Now carefully cut out the shaded parts from them. Stencils turned out.

Place one stencil on a large sheet of paper. Fill the cut area with paint (you can work with a brush or sponge) or felt-tip pens. Lift the stencil: the picture on the bottom sheet turned out. Repeat the drawing next to the first. Continue until you have covered the whole sheet with pictures. Now you have a beautiful paper for gifts!

And a few more ideas for wrapping gifts:

- With the help of simple stamps on paper, you can apply a polka dot pattern. Small peas can be made with a cotton swab or eraser at the end of the pencil.
- With the help of a bottle stopper, you can make more circles. And the biggest mugs will turn out, if as a stamp to use the potato cut in half.
- The ring-shaped print can be made with a disposable cup, a toilet paper sleeve or any round plastic lid.
- A gift wrapped in paper can be decorated with any object - a spruce twig, leaves, cones, as well as a flower, pompom or toy.

December 26. 5 days before the New Year.

We throw away unnecessary things and get rid of rubbish.

After a year - out. If the subject has not been used for more than a year - most likely, it will not be useful in the future. Chinese kitchen utensils such as the yolk and protein separator, bed linen brought by the grandmother from the historical homeland 40 years ago, toys that the child has outgrown and abandoned… Is it really worth storing things that are useless? Hardly.

The principle of "Side view". A good way to sort things out is the one you really need, and the one whose time it takes to get used to it - to invite someone independent, a friend, a person who won’t be associated with sentimental or romantic memories with any of the items in the house. Such a person will soberly look at the process of parsing garbage and give good advice. And you can end the evening with mulled wine :)

December 27. 4 days before the New Year.

It’s time to fill the house with New Year’s aromas and tastes. Make mulled wine, bake gingerbread cookies or just eat tangerines to the brim and drink hot chocolate.

A classic recipe for gingerbread cookies.

You will need: • wheat flour 200 g • baking soda 1.5 tsp. (or 1 sachet of baking powder) • egg 1 pc. • ground ginger 2 tsp. • ground cloves ½ tsp. • ground cinnamon and cardamom 1 tsp. • liquid honey or any syrup 3 tsp. • butter 100 g • sugar 100 g confectionery decorations: sugar icing, chocolate, fondant or marzipan, multicolored sugar balls, powdered sugar shaped cookie cutters.

1. Grind spices in a coffee grinder, add soda or baking powder, flour.
2. In another bowl, mix the sugar and butter with a mixer until white. Add eggs and honey (or syrup).
3. Pour in the whipped mixture of spices, flour and baking powder. Knead the dough by hand, wrap in cling film and refrigerate.
4. Roll out the rested dough on a floured surface. Rolling thickness - less than 0.5 cm. Cut out figures; transfer them to a greased baking sheet with a spatula.
5. You can decorate cookies before or after baking, depending on the recipe of the confectionery decorations that you have purchased.
6. Bake cookies for 5-7 minutes in a preheated oven to 200-220 degrees. The corners of the cookies should become an intense brown color.
7. Completely cool the finished cookies on a baking tray or on a towel.
8. Decorate the finished cookies with the whole family.

December 28. 3 days before the New Year.

Let’s summarize the year. We make a list of the most important events of the outgoing year and nostalgia.

The happiest memory The greatest
achievement of the past year
The funniest event The
most difficult task
The most interesting discovery
Book of the year
Film of the year
Song of the year, etc.

December 29. 2 days before the New Year.

We pause. We have a rest. We drink cocoa, eat tangerines, watch our favorite movies, go shopping. Or maybe we celebrate the last corporate party, who has not yet had time. In general, we dedicate this day to ourselves, and we do what you like.

December 30. 1 day before the New Year.

We write a "Letter to next year" and make a list of goals.

Special online services allow you to send a letter on a specific date, at least a year later, at least 10 years later. Write a letter on December 31 next year to compare with yourself last year and compare attitudes to desires. Maybe some of them have become irrelevant, and some have been fulfilled in a bizarre and unpredictable way?
Here are some important rules for those who make New Year’s resolutions:

1. Avoid the particles "no", formulating a desire: do not eat sweets, do not drink alcohol, do not smoke, do not spend a lot of time on social networks. Behind each of our desires with the particle "no" there is a restriction that we want to break. Think in a positive way - promise yourself not prohibitions, but permission. Eat more fruit, learn to bake healthy sweets instead of categorically denying sweets. Buying an e-cigarette without nicotine as an alternative, reducing the number of cigarettes are better motivators than once again banning yourself from smoking.

2. State clearly what you want. The clearer and more detailed you present your goal, the easier it is for you to go for it. For example, the desire to "want to be beautiful" is great, but what does it take? If you want to lose weight, think about how many pounds you want to lose. Concretize dreams: "I will lead a healthy lifestyle" - "I will eat fresh fruit or vegetables every day and walk for 20 minutes"; "I’ll do sports" - "I’ll start with a couple of classes in the pool."

3. Don’t make too many promises. If you have planned to radically change your life and have made a list of 30 points to go to at a brisk pace, there is a great risk that you will not complete any task. Prioritize, choose only what is really important. Remember Pareto’s law: "20% of the effort gives 80% of the result, and the other 80% of the effort - only 20% of the result." Focus on the main thing, analyze your desires. Do you really need to spend energy, time and money on learning Hindi? Maybe you just need to finally go to India and close this gestalt? Choose no more than five goals, preferably two or three.

December 31. Hooray! The most wonderful day of the year!

We smile, hug and have fun on New Year’s Eve!
