American surgeon donates state-of-the-art table for complex surgeries to Lviv hospital

Leading American spinal surgeon Isador Lieberman has used his own funds to purchase a state-of-the-art operating table for the St. Nicholas Children's Hospital in Lviv. The Modular Table System will allow local doctors to more safely save children with the most severe forms of scoliosis.

Doctor Isador Lieberman, who works at the Texas Back Institute (USA), visited Lviv in March of this year with a team of international specialists. During this mission, American and Ukrainian doctors jointly operated on eight children with complex spinal curvatures.

In order for Lviv surgeons to continue to perform such large-scale interventions at the highest level, the US philanthropist decided to use his own funds to strengthen the technical base of the institution.

We would like to remind our readers that St. Nicholas Children's Hospital, which is part of the united hospitals of the First Territorial Medical Association of Lviv, is a partner hospital of the Ufond, under the "Ufond.Heart" program.
