November, January, February ... Only three months have passed since the operation to install a metal spine implant - and Alina Kovaldeteriorated right in front of my eyes! But is this a girl who has suffered from the most severe scoliosis of the chest for five years? When the doctors straightened the girl’s back, she grew seven centimeters, and now jokingly says that she feels very tall, and from the height of her new growth, everything around her seems so small! And how nice to look in the mirror! Even the former blouses sit in a completely different way, emphasizing her even posture and young beauty.
But Alina did not go to surgery because she suffered from a crooked back. She was tormented by the most severe pain in her chest and spine, and surgery was the only way to stop this daily pain. Alina says that she went to the operating table calmly, with the firm conviction that everything would be fine now.
The girl underwent surgery at the Kharkiv National University of Spine and Joint Pathology named after MI Small. She spent five hours on the operating table, waking up only in the evening and cheerfully telling the nurses that she was in no pain and that all the scary stories about painful rehabilitation, that her neck would ache, were just to discipline her. Not more. The condition was as if I was exercising, and after the tension my muscles ached a little.
But then came the morning, and brought suffering. Alina remembers: “In the morning I felt everything !! It was very painful. I started having depression. I lay for two days and cried: why did I do it! I’d better go like that! I didn’t even have the strength to shout for a painkiller. "
But ... immediately after resuscitation, Alina was put on her feet and forced to walk. There was a lot of dizziness in her head, the nurses had to support the patient so that she could take her first steps. But Alina coped with this task.
Now, reliving those moments, Alina says that the postoperative pain was nothing compared to the chest pain she once felt: terrible, oppressive, inexorable, daily. With implants, these pains completely disappeared.
"The ribs on one side were very tight, and it was difficult to breathe. And as soon as I woke up, I already felt that nothing was bothering me from the ribs. Does not compress the heart. And this was the main result of the operation.
Now Alina is still forced to limit herself a little, and this ban, especially at first, was very stressful: "The year can neither turn nor bend. It’s quite difficult, I’m just getting used to it. But the back will now remain straight forever. It is held by two rods. And the posture will now be like this, straightforward. "
Most recently, Alina graduated from the Odessa College of Economics, Law and Hotel and Restaurant Business with a degree in tourism. And now I’m thinking about whether to look for a place by profile or study further. A sixteen-year-old girl works in a clothing store and is not afraid of any work. However, once she had to leave the store because of back pain, which did not allow her to stand for long. But now everything is fine and nothing distracts from things.
And yet ... Health inspires! And you can dream about everything in the world, to realize yourself in everything that the soul is. From now on, the limitations of the disease have disappeared forever: there is no pain, no discomfort and there will never be endless medication. And Alina dreams: “I want to continue my studies when I fully recover. In general, I would like to try myself as a photographer, I really like it. I like to take photos, process photos, this is exactly the thing that brings me pleasure. I really like portrait, vivid, emotional photography. "
