Results of the year in ten years
The year 2020 was truly amazing. New conditions, flexibility in the approach to solving common problems, new formats of assistance. The main thing was the ability to see opportunities in uncertain situations and focus on priorities. We learn the mind in the fight against infection, remembering that other diseases are not shared. Lots of reports of falling charities. The fund is no exception: we estimate the general meeting at UAH 5 million. - compared to 2019, this is a decrease of 1.5 million hryvnias. In just 10 years of the fund’s work, we have raised over 43 million hryvnias.
But the most important thing is that behind these figures are lives! The lives of children who have received help thanks to you, our readers, donors, philanthropists, friends and partners! In 2020, 45 children received targeted assistance. These are children with congenital heart disease, hereditary and rare diseases, immune system diseases, severe forms of scoliosis, deaf and hard of hearing children, children with cerebral palsy and complex, congenital facial pathologies. And in 10 years you have saved more than 1,500 children.
More than UAH 3 million was spent on medicines, medical equipment, consumables, hearing aids, operations, tests, examinations and rehabilitation. This once again proves the benefits and effectiveness of the old, true address fundraising!
As for the pandemic, in 2020 it has only changed some of its priorities in the Fund: donations from individuals have decreased somewhat and have grown from companies. Contributions from corporate philanthropists have doubled. First of all, increased contributions to the new direction of the Fund, assistance to hospitals - "Stop the virus" .
This initiative has become not only new, but also a priority for the Fund’s partner companies and for our readers. By mid-December, 8 clinics from 6 cities of the country had received: ventilators, oxygen concentrators, personal protective equipment, equipment and consumables for 1.5 million hryvnias.
In 2020, despite the pandemic, Ufond successfully held several annual charity events:
"Heart beats thanks to ..." with our friends and partners at Fora;
The largest action, which has already saved 93 children - "Fill the heart with life." For the third year in a row, together with our friends and partners of the PrivatBank Charitable Foundation "It’s easy to help" - we help children with heart defects from all over Ukraine;
The traditional New Year’s action "Charity instead of souvenirs" - we are also convinced that gifts, first of all, should be useful for children! And one more traditional action till September 1 and March 8 - Children! Flowers! Life! .
