Thank you for your trust! Results of the year.

Traditionally, we summarize the outgoing 2017. The next results, we summarize for the seventh time in a row. The results, to say the least, are good. Thank you very much, dear friends, readers and partners! During this time we managed to raise over 25 million hryvnias and provide comprehensive assistance to 1,017 children. In 2017, with the help of our readers, we raised UAH 4,214,023, which means that the amount of fees exceeded last year and the year before last combined. And of course, we will not stop there, we will analyze what strategy to choose to help more children and people ready to save children.

And now about everything and in detail. In 2017, our long-time friends and partners continue to cooperate with us, who are faithful to their work, and we are faithful to them: Privatbank and the fund " Help is easy! " , Ukrainian Charity Exchange, MTI, State Grain Corporation, KP" Kyivkinofilm "and many others. We have new partners: the chain of stores "Fora" and "Yagotinskoe for children", with whom we held a terrific campaign this year to help children with congenital heart disease. Participants of the charity auctions - Charitum, have repeatedly helped our wards, and the capital’s cleaning company "KlinMasters" has started a long-term cooperation with us, in which Ufonda wards receive assistance under the Ufond.PCP program.

2017 was a rich year for Ufond for new implementation and system projects. Not all of them brought money, but all of them attracted new thousands of compassionate people to our publications who help our wards.

The number of permanent donors, among private individuals, has tripled. Unfortunately, like many other donors, they do not want to reveal their names, and therefore, we cannot say to everyone personally - Thank you! We thank you all for being with us!

Thanks also to those enthusiasts who are involved in charity through private initiatives. There are more and more such people in Ukraine every year. And of course, thank you to the volunteers who, like us, are doing everything possible to reduce the number of sick children in our country.

Two years since we launched the fund’s new website. Now it has become even easier and more convenient for our readers and donors to help the foundation’s wards. We tried to indicate on the site all possible ways to transfer funds, such as electronic payment systems (Lycpey, Privat24, MasterPass), as well as providing online receipts with the details of the fund, and of course, SMS messages for mobile phone owners. But we have already written about this. The main thing is that we have made the site as informative, interesting and accountable as possible. Now, the history of each of our wards, you can trace from the application to the Fund, with medical records and conclusions, to the payment and the act of work performed. And that you could help our wards from abroad, we planned for 2018 to launch the ability to transfer funds through PayPallpayments. We do not stop there, because with full enthusiasm, we believe in what we do and we want to do more for you and all those who need our help with you.

As for the situation in the sphere of interaction between the state and the third sector, everything also remains unchanged. The inconvenient and morally outdated law "On Charity", which would exempt charitable assistance from income tax, continues to "irritate" anyone who has at least some professional attitude to charity. This law does not stimulate, but, on the contrary, inhibits the development of charity in our country. We hope that in the new year, by joint efforts with other public and charitable organizations, we will be able to move this stone, and help sick children will be even easier.

But there is also good news about the state’s assistance to charities. We have started active cooperation with the Department of Humanitarian Procurement of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine in the field of financing the state program on cochlear implantation at the Kolomyichenko National Institute. The process has moved on and there are the first positive sprouts.

Also, we would like to note an important event, the creation of our colleague and mother of our ward Yaroslava Karapuz, a petition to address the parents of children with disabilities and adults with disabilities to the President. With the requirement of the Guarantor of human and civil rights and freedoms of Ukraine, to pay attention to financial security, namely the low amount of social assistance for disability! Revise the algorithm for calculating social assistance, in which a family raising a child or adult with a disability will be able to pay their expenses. You can read more about the text of the petition and leave your vote here .

In 2017, the Ukrainian Relief Fund, for the third time, became a participant in the ranking of charitable foundations with public and transparent reporting. This is the third recognition of our work with you across the country, as well as a testament to the openness and transparency of the Fund.
We have joined the list of proven, non-profit Charitytuner organizations, thus showing that we work not only efficiently and systematically, but also transparently.

In early 2017, we re-launched the program to help children with hearing problems - Ufond.Hearing. Our partners in this direction are Turkish specialists from the international network of clinics Acibadem. In 2017, we paid for the operation with four wards. All children received highly qualified assistance. All children received highly qualified assistance. Thanks to our reliable partner UIA for providing a free and comfortable flight for our wards.

Unfortunately, we did not manage to realize much of what we had planned. For example, to cooperate not only with KyivVlast, Telegid, Gazeta.UA, and with Glas, TV, ERA, and Kyiv, but also with other major media outlets. It would seem that there are good responsive people everywhere, and they all want to help sick children. And for some reason it doesn’t work ... We are the bearers of charitable SMS messages, which could be launched in the broadcast of stories, and with their help, to help more children, but no, and this is not an opportunity for our cooperation with major media. Maybe the reason is the endless Ukrainian political crisis? What is most attractive and rated for our media. We still have a very long and difficult way to go: why, despite our successes and attempts to reach a large audience, we have not been able to increase the number of those who would know about us.

And in the new year, we invite new partners to cooperate, together we can do more! Thank you, friends, for being generous!

Thank you for your trust!

Your Fund.
