The Ministry of Health refused to disclose the names of participants in the competition for the position of chief physician of "Okhmatdet"




The Ministry of Health of Ukraine has expired the deadline for submitting documents for the position of Chief Physician of the National Children’s Specialized Hospital "Okhmatdet". 10 people have expressed a desire to participate in the competition, however, the Ministry of Health says that it is still impossible to know their initials.

According to the Ministry of Health, on April 27, the department completed the submission of documents for participation in the competition to fill the vacant position of chief physician of the National Children’s Specialized Hospital (NDSB) "Okhmatdet". The Ministry of Health received applications from ten people.
However, at this stage, the Ministry refused to disclose the names of the applicants. In particular, at the request of the Fund to provide surnames, names and patronymics of participants, as well as information about their positions, the Ministry of Health referred to the decision of the CCU of January 20, 2012 on the interpretation of the first two parts of Article 32, parts two and three of Article 34. Constitution of Ukraine on the concept of confidential information. In the category of confidential information about the person, the CCU included data on his property status and other personal data, which can be disseminated only after the permission of the individual.

We will remind, on March 20 the Commission at the Ministry of Health of Ukraine held competitionto the position of Chief Physician of the National Children’s Specialized Hospital (NDSB) "Okhmatdet". Of the nine participants, only four were admitted to the interview. However, none of the four contenders was recognized by the commission as worthy of becoming the country’s chief pediatrician. The Ministry of Health considered the candidates either "frankly weak" or dishonest.

An open competition for the position of Okhmatdet’s chief physician has been announced due to the expiration of the contract with the previous head, Yuri Gladush.

NDSL "Okhmatdet" is a multidisciplinary medical institution that provides specialized medical care to children, the largest children’s hospital in Ukraine. In April 2015, the Cabinet of Ministers transferred Okhmatdet to the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
