UIA Ukrainian Relief Fund has launched the website of the charity program "Under the Wing", through which passengers in need of treatment abroad and their companions can apply for tickets at a symbolic price of UAH 10. The humanitarian transportation program "Under the Wing" is reaching a new level. If before the airline provided assistance in the pilot project on individual calls by phone and e-mail, now tickets for the flight for treatment can be issued on the official website of the program . To apply, you must enter all the necessary data in the electronic questionnaire no later than 72 hours before the departure of the scheduled flight. Medical documents are considered by an expert council consisting of employees of the charitable foundations "Life in Excess", "Tablets", "Helpus", the Ukrainian Relief Fund, the International Association for the Support of Ukraine and the TV channel "1 + 1". The Expert Council provides airline recommendations for applicants for airline tickets in the humanitarian unit. At the same time, UIA is well aware that there are situations where every minute can save lives. Therefore, emergencies, as before, will be considered on an individual basis, and those who need help will definitely receive it. The charity program "Under the Wing" provides for booking on each of UIA’s own regular flights, including long-haul, two seats at a special symbolic price of UAH 10. The airline opened the program in July 2015. During its existence, more than 2 thousand were issued. tickets in the humanitarian bloc worth almost UAH 8 million. Currently, more than 115,000 seats are available under the program. "I am convinced that charity should be, above all, targeted, and the approach to it - systemic. That is why we at UIA did not just come up with another humanitarian initiative. We have created a comprehensive program designed to unite the efforts of a wide range of charitable and volunteer organizations and, accordingly, provide their wards with equal access to the opportunities "Under the Wing". We are committed to being wings for anyone in need of surgery, treatment or rehabilitation abroad, and we promise to work hard to ensure that no appeal is left without help, ”said UIA President Yuri Miroshnikov. Currently, the partners of the program are charitable foundations "Life with a surplus", "Tablets", "Helpus", the Ukrainian Relief Fund (Fund), the International Association for the Support of Ukraine and the TV channel 1 + 1. UIA is open to partnerships with humanitarian missions and charities and invites colleagues to work together.
