Reasons why IDPs choose the capital:
The main reason is the presence of relatives and close friends in the capital (45%).
Other reasons:
opportunity to find a job (26%);
security of the city in conditions of war (22%);
attachment to Kyiv as a city with opportunities where you can start a new life (8-9%);
vacant places for temporary residence (5%).
Another 4% of emigrants did not care where to leave, and for 2% it was the decision of the organization that took care of resettlement.
Almost 80% of the interviewed IDPs noted the absence of tension in relations with local residents.
